MCAN
represents a strong network of programs, practitioners, schools and
community members that can learn from each other, grow together, and
form a broad based grassroots effort here in Minnesota to advocate for college access for every student in our state! MCAN advocates for policy on behalf of our members and seeks to increase participation in public policy issues. This section provides resources for involvement.
Obama Administration Announces Streamlined Financial Aid Application The Obama Administration today announced a shorter, simpler, and more
user friendly Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) that
will make it easier to apply for college financial aid. The
changes—some of which are already in place while others will be phased
in over the next few months—are designed to increase postsecondary
enrollment, particularly among low- and middle-income students.
